Czyżby nowe DVD Opeth? Tym razem zarejestrowane 5 kwietnia w Royal Albert Hall:

We´re working very hard on the upcoming DVD that we shot at the fantastic Royal Albert Hall in London last April 5th and Mike will fly over to Manchester next week to oversee the editing. While he´s there we´re going to do an interview with him to be featured on the documentary part of the DVD and we figured it would be cool if you guys had the chance to ask him some questions. Whoever asks the best question wins a pretty cool prize handed out by Roadrunner Records so you better make sure to put some proper thought into it. Competition ends May 22nd so be quick... Mike ma chyba jakiś wyjątkowy sentyment do Londynu. Czyżby to wpływ zamiłowania do starej muzy z przełomu lat 60. i 70., która w dużej części była anglosaska?

RR przy okazji odrabia chyba straty, bo "The Roundhouse Tapes" odpuścił dla Peaceville. Ciekawe, jaki będzie tytuł nowego DVD?

Myślę, że kilka wspaniałych propozycji tytułów znaleźliśmy na koncercie w Wawie, taki The Night and the Silent Opeth byłby idealny
A serio to przypuszczam, że możemy się spodziewać nawiązań do Blackwater Park, w końcu to jest główna część koncertu. Albo znów coś pożyczonego z lat siedemdziesiątych od jakiegoś zespołu, którego nie zna nikt poza Mikaelem
A spostrzeżenie, że RR będzie chciało wydać jakieś DVD było bardzo celne i padło już na tym forum dawno temu, tylko nie wiem od kogo wyszło

Oby nie wyszło wcześniej, bo zbankrutuję Jeszcze BWP nowego nie kupiłem, a bardzo chcę [ale czekam czy coś się wyjaśni z tym błędem na DVD].

Czyli na wzór Dream Theater, który DVD z jubileuszowego koncertu zatytułował "Score", co można wieloznacznie przetłumaczyć jako "dwudziestka" lub "partytura" (do czego nawiązuje wykonana w pięknym "złocie" okładka wydawnictwa). A tak btw. ciekaw jestem, czy podobnie jak Dreami, na DVD zamieszczą dodatkowo teledyski (do Porcelain Heart i Burden)? A może jeszcze The Throat of Winter?

Jeśli ta setlista znajdzie się w całości na DVD, to będzie po prostu odlot - na TRT brakowało mi "The Moor" i "Reverie/Harlequin Forrest"

Jeżeli zagrali identycznie jak w ubiegłym roku w Bydgoszczy, to było samo Harlequin Forest bez Reverie. Zresztą identycznie opisywał ten gig Mike w swoich refleksjach po mini-trasie:

Got back home last night from the six shows we did celebrating 20 years as a band. Let's see, Stockholm (went OK), Essen (great), Paris (great), Holland (off show...horrible!), London (AMAZING!), NYC (good), L.A. (OK). Overall it was a fantastic little trip for all of us, we had a blast. Played three-hour shows, started with the whole 'Blackwater Park' album from start to finish, then a little 10-minute break, and a second set consisting of: 'Forest of October', 'Advent', 'April Ethereal', 'The Moor', 'Wreath', 'Hope Leaves', 'Harlequin Forest' and 'The Lotus Eater'. Crowd was great on all shows, apart from Holland (I mean, some peeps seemed to like us and cheers to them, but we're really ignored AND some TWAT threw a beer in my chest. Same TWAT later posted in the guestbook that he's actually a fan, and 'couldn't believe I could throw 40 yards, sorry, love you guys' Haha! What a TWAT!!! The 'OK' and 'good' comments above are based on our personal overall feel on stage, some of these shows were plagued with bad stage sound which always makes it a lot more difficult. And we're also quite picky, I guess. Either way, crowds for all the six anniversary shows we're amazing; these were all sold-out shows, which was a plus. Playing the Royal Albert Hall in London is the biggest feather in my rock hat so far. Wow! Just wow! We took pictures just like DEEP PURPLE did on the 1969 'Concerto' album. Geeks!

Jak się nie ma oryginału na płycie i się nie słucha w zwykłym odtwarzaczu CD, to się nie zauważyło, że:

"Reverie" is a pregap to "Harlequin Forest." In all modern CD  players, the pregap to any track (except the first track) will be displayed as the end of the previous track. In this case, "Reverie" could be mistakenly seen as a "hidden track" to track four, "Atonement." If the listener "rewinds" from the beginning of track five on a modern CD player, a negative time will appear in the display, which is the "Reverie" pregap. "Reverie" should start playing at about 5:23 into "Atonement" or -1:05 before "Harlequin Forest."
